A campsite to remember:

Cotswolds Camping would love to welcome you to our peaceful campsite situated in the beautiful North Cotswold village of Whichford

Cotswolds Camping is near the Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire borders. We are in the Heart of England, in the middle of everywhere, just over an hour from the M25.

Come and share this special place, experience the peace of the historic land and the sounds of nature. Enjoy stargazing the dark night sky, watching meteor showers without light pollution.  Sit in our stone circle, said by dowsers to emit high amounts of electro-magnetic energy!

Our Ethos at Cotswolds Camping

Cotswolds Camping is situated in the grounds of Holycombe Holistic Retreat Centre.  The self-built home of Sally and Andy Birtwell.  At Holycombe they host weekend residential retreats, weekday classes and holistic therapies, hence we are a quiet campsite.

Due to the nature of a Retreat Centre - we are a quiet campsite that wants to provide a peaceful, rustic, outdoor experience surrounded by nature and steeped in history.  We therefore want to attract guests who appreciate these qualities and are happy to abide by our rules (see full conditions).

The campsite is on the site of an old Norman castle  - a Scheduled Ancient Monument.  It has a water-filled moat and is close to many beautiful Cotswold Villages - a great base to explore the areas.

Why come Camping?

Reconnect With Nature. Being outside isn't just about being in a new environment; it's about developing an appreciation for nature and respecting the world around you. Cotswolds Camping being a quiet campsite allows for the desired peace when looking for a camping holiday.

Cotswolds Camping supplies fire baskets for campers on-site at no extra cost!

There aren't pitches as such, but we reckon there are 11 places with fire-baskets within the moated area and 9 on the far side of the moat near the orchard. We ask you to have fires in the baskets provided or use your own.

In the Cotswolds there is a definite lack of phone signal. The feedback forms we received suggested we should have a communal area with WiFi. We listened! Over the summer we installed it, and can now offer free quick Wi-Fi in the camping kitchen. Alternatively come glamping and you can pay £4 to access your own private WiFi in your glamping unit - for those who like the luxuries!
